There have been wall climbing bots in the past but what makes this particular example special is the technique used to achieve this.
This unnamed robot uses static electricity to hold it self against the wall and suprisingly its qite agile. I cant think of any commercial applications for this technology but im sure the military will scoop it sooner or later.

Dirk's Presentation
I didn't mind Dirk's presentation although, it was a tad boring but i obtained a new found respect and admiration for the people that maintain and create open source software.
Personally, i love the concept of open source software. The idea that anyone can make modification to the software, not just the developers or a specific group of people. I think this really helps with the development of the software. People with the skills and know how who have great ideas can set their ideas into motion and then releases it to the population. Some of the software that is developed under the open source license is marginally better than the comercial counterpart.
Not all open source software is free but, most are.
Open source refers to many other platforms other that software. Other such platforms include: Government, Ethics, Media Education, Fitness. The list goes on. The term open source can apply to almost anything is can be modified and redistributed without consequence.

Self erasing paper
The Xerox company has just revealed its latest invention, self erasing paper.
The paper can be use up to 100 times and self erases after 24 hours.
Depending on manufacturing costs and green house emitions this could be really good for the enviroment. it would result in less paper made and therfore less green house emitions.
Not only would this be great for the enviroment but it'll also be really cool.
